As this was my first signature painting for thirty years, I decided to keep it simple and used the Scottish flag, the Saltire.
I did this piece in two halves. Day one was spent collecting signatures outside the Scottish Parliament building at Hollyrood in Edinburgh, with the second day being based at the McManus Galleries in Dundee.
Interestingly the vast majority of the people who contributed to the work were not from Scotland, merely passing through. Again, it provides a snapshot of who makes our community.
